Vegan 8ablish
One of my favorite finds, especially for dessert. I’m still thinking about the vegan cheesecake—it was one of the best vegan cheesecakes I’ve ever had! Great spot to add to your itinerary when exploring the Azabudai/Toranomon area.

Vegan Sushi Tokyo / VEGAN SUSHI JAPAN
I loved the creativity here! The vegan sushi was so unique, and the matcha donut was another favorite. A fun way to experience Japanese-style sushi completely plant-based.

TSUMUGI NAMPO Tofu
Such a cozy atmosphere with delicious tofu-focused Japanese food. Add this if you want something comforting and a little different from the typical vegan restaurant.

Vegan Ramen at teamLab Planets / Emptiness Table
One of my favorite ramen experiences in Japan! Located inside teamLab Planets, so you need a teamLab Planets ticket to access it. You order before entering and eat at a glass table surrounded by continuously changing projected artwork. The combination of the ramen and immersive setting made this such a memorable experience.

Tokyo Vegan Ramen Center
The presentation here was incredible—so many beautiful details. The food was delicious, and the presentation made the experience even better. A great stop for vegan ramen in Tokyo.

Plant-Based
KOMEDA is □
A casual plant-based Japanese café with sandwiches, burgers, coffee and comfort food. I personally wasn’t a huge fan of the soy ham cutlet sandwich, but I enjoyed the other things I tried. Good casual option when you want something easy.

2foods Ginza (Closed)
I visited this spot multiple times and loved how quick and casual it was. Everything I tried was great. Note: the Ginza Loft location has closed, so this is a previous Veggie Travel Girl favorite rather than a current recommendation.
Tokyo ended up being one of my favorite cities for finding creative vegan food. From immersive ramen experiences to vegan sushi, Japanese comfort food and desserts, there are so many options beyond the typical salad or veggie bowl. Save this guide for your next trip to Tokyo!
