From Remote Meetings to Mountain Views: My Denver Work-Life Experience

Denver is a place which has so much to offer! From skiing, to hiking, to beautiful lakes to visit there is something for everyone! With family living in Colorado I frequent the state and work often from there! The time zone being 2 hrs behind EST which is my usual time zone it means my work days start end early at 3:00 P.M. which gives me time to go out and explore!

Activities to add on your list to visit

When you’re visiting Colorado I’d highly recommend visiting Garden of the Gods it’s a free park and has beautiful red rocks which are visible throughout! Additionally, Rocky Mountain National Park is so incredibly stunning it’s a must to explore! It isn’t free and reservations are required in advance at some points during the year however, the hassle and cost of the tickets are absolutely worth it. The National Park Service does offer a free lifetime pass if you have a permanent disability. See the NPS site for more details. Red Rocks is also a free park to visit and has lots of hiking trails to explore! If you’re able to catch a concert at Red Rocks be sure to do so it’s an unforgettable experience. There are endless hiking options out in Colorado whether you’re looking for something strenuous or a casual stroll.

Preparing to visit Colorado

If you’re not used to altitude Colorado can be challenging for your body. Ensure you drink a lot of water to prevent altitude sickness! I often have nose bleeds when I visit too. So, I try to take something to help my nose- humidifiers blowing on my face at night are a must for me. Oh and the lotion, being from GA my body is super used to humidity which means when I’m in Colorado I’m constantly slathering lotion on myself. Despite this all- it’s an incredibly beautiful place to visit with lots of vegetarian friendly food and views to take in.
